Coaching Resources
Business Coaching is a role that has
evolved for business consultants in the last few years. If you are
starting your own business — especially if it is an online business —
then a business coach can save you a tremendous amount of time and
energy normally spent experimenting with business ideas and product
suggestions. You can eliminate a lot of trial and error by choosing
the right business coach.
Some business coaches provide extensive
e-materials and how-to resources based on their hands-on experience
with clients and products of their own. Others use email
correspondence or tele-seminars to help you get up to speed quickly
and to discover what works and what does not. The success or failure
of your business will likely depend on the advice you get right at the
beginning. What qualifications
should you look for in a business coach? Academic or technical
qualifications are not nearly as important as hands-on experience in
running a business. Normally a business coach deals with small
entrepreneurs or would-be entrepreneurs who are trying to get their
small business or work-at-home business going. The successful coach
will have also been a successful small business person at one time or
another -- or at least have had intimate business dealings with a
large number of small business persons.
The successful and effective business coach must know
about business organization, time management, productivity, payroll,
accounting, marketing, promotion, office technology, finances,
taxation, regulation and much more. He or she must be accessible day
or night, and like to advise his or her clients on the smallest of
details.
Find a business coach who takes a
personal interest in your business, someone who has experience in your
specific area of interest, and someone who has made it work
themselves. |
